In the 2010-2011 school year I will be entering my 10th year of teaching.  Previous to Norwin I taught for 3 1/2 years as the director of bands in Charleroi Area School District and 1 year as a 7th/8th grade general music teacher for Reynoldsburg City School District in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

I received my Bachelor's of Music in Music Education Instrumental K-12 from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and my Master's of Science in Education with an empahsis on integrating technology in the classroom from Walden University.

Outside of school I still play clarinet in the Westmoreland Symphonic Winds and I sometimes play the alto saxophone in the Frankie Carroll Orchestra- a swing band.  

Besides music, my other interests include taking care of my two labs Mozart and Rocky.  Here they are in action!

I also enjoy all outdoor activities especially hiking and camping.  We we went to West Virginia last summer for some rustic tent camping. This was the view from our site.
