7th grade to 8th grade information:

Since the students have been playing for over 3 years, their instruments may have some wear and tear that can be fixed over the summer.  Check your rental contract to see what is covered.

Woodwinds- Have your repair tech check the pads, springs and corks.  Instruments may need a total re-pad and re-cork, or maybe just some slight adjustment.

Brass- If you student has not been cleaning their instrument once a month, it will need a chemical clean.  They will also check their valves, slides and remove dents.

* If you are renting, check your contract!  You may have built up enough money to buy the instrument or trade up to a better instrument.
